In episode 8x15 of the hit show 9-1-1, screenwriter Tim Minear decided to kill off the lovable dedicated patriarch of the show Bobby Nash. Bobby was the captain and father figure to everyone in his life and at his station. He constantly displayed selfless behavior and dedication to most characters he interacted with. To kill him off would change the entire framework of the show and not in a good way. 

9-1-1 was once the show where, no matter how crazy, everyone survives. For example situations such as 

-throat c*t

-rebar through skull

-lightning strike 

-plane crashes

-trucks landing on people

-being trapped under a collapsed well

have all been survived by characters in the show. Now Tim decided he wanted to make it more real life and have someone actually die? Sir nothing about this is “real life” and it never has been so let’s get back on the crazy train and have him randomly wake up in the morgue and be fine. 

On top of everything, one of the main characters, Eddie Diaz, who also had a close bond with Bobby wasn’t even told about it in the episode. 

Tim did a disservice to everyone by killing off such an Important character like Bobby and he should be held accountable.
