In January 2021, MediaLab AI Inc acquired Amino and although it appeared to be business as usual, the beloved app seemed to halt abruptly in early December 2025.
Amino offered a sanctuary for shared interests, be it fandoms, art, music, or any other niche communities. It was more than just a social media platform; it was a thriving world of connectedness that helped many form friendships and explore their passions. The sudden cessation of its operations left a void where people once found meaning and connection.
Imagine rekindling that spirit with Amino 2.0, a new chapter in the story of Amino that brings back that same sense of community while adapting to the needs of the new generation of users. We propose a new version, Amino 2.0 aka Amino Apps 2.0, that incorporates the beloved features of the original platform while integrating modern social media functionalities. This can include enhanced security measures, improved user interface, new networking tools, and features that cater to both existing users and newcomers. Plus they also have archived versions of previous ones that were originally from Amino, such as pop culture (movies, TV, games, music, etc.), cosplays aka costumes, fanart, etc., etc..
Our call to action is not just about nostalgia but about reviving a space that countless users cherished and relied on.
