Plants vs. Zombies 3’s Pre-Alpha version came out in 2020, complete with a new art style, tons of new plants, a lot of new zombies, new mechanics, and even minibosses called Brainiacs. The fanbase was unhappy with the artstyle and got very critical, making Popcap start fresh, creating the soft release of what we now know as Plants vs. Zombies 3: Welcome to Zomburbia. This new game did not have the scope that the 2020 alpha had. The new game did not meet our expectations and failed to improve upon PvZ2 or PvZ3 2020. Now, PvZ3 2020 is impossible to play, even with APKs, as the servers used to host the game have been shut down, keeping us from new, exciting PvZ content. Popcap should bring back the version from 2020 in some playable form, so we can all enjoy it!
