Ari’s filmed a movie called Memec and she had the role of a madam in it. It sounds like a great role. Hopefully there will be news of its airdate soon.
This time last year Days was going through some behind the scenes turmoil with its now Ex-Co Executive Producer.
Ari had grown tired of seeing her female cast mates either leaving due to a toxic work environment or being let go by said Co-Executive Producer
She first met with Ken Corday who is co-exec producer and owner of Days of our Lives. But according to her he basically said “What do you want me to do about it? And sent her to an Executive who then referred her to Sony HR.
Sony Conducted an investigation but didn’t provide Ari with its findings. It said Alaar. Pull stay and undergo sensitivity training.
Then around 30 female cast and crew drafted a petition that said they weren’t comfortable with Alaar continuing in his position.
Once that was made Public Corday Productions bowed to the Public Pressure and relieved Alaar of his duties
They issued a statement saying so and took credit for his dismissal..
The question is this.. why did this behavior go on for so long? Why didn’t Ken Corday step in sooner? Why did a female cast member have to be the one to do it and why has someone like Alaar said it was about her denigrating a black man in power and also wanting more money and influence on the show?
Ari said the Alaar’s behavior escalated during the investigation and he actually wrote her out of the show.. and Ken Corday had no problem with him doing that during February Sweeps?
There were so many stories starting then stopping. Actors coming and going that Corday had to know there was a problem.
If most of your female cast is gone but the males are all still pretty much there then shouldn’t you use your position to protect the actresses instead of the co-executive producer that is most likely the cause of it all?
This had to have been a tough thing for Ari to do and she could’ve just dropped it and kept her job.. It may even be what they wanted her to do..
Now she’s gone as well as most of our female favorites and they are higher new actors and changing from a daytime drama to a web series that looks nothing like it’s former self.
This is why we all need to stand with Ari because it’s apparent not many people from the cast are will too do so for fear of the same fate.
