Arianne had valid concerns about her female cast mates either leaving or being laid off due to a toxic work environment.

She went to Ken Corday and he sent her to someone else who then sent her to Sony HR because there is no HR at her workplace.

They conducted an investigation and during this time Co executive producer Albert Alaar’s behavior is alleged to have escalated and Ari was abruptly written out of the show during taping for February sweeps episodes and her storyline is front burner but basically stalled due to this. She wasn’t given any information about when she would be back..

Deadline reports about this toxic work environment and Ken Corday issues a statement saying the investigation was over and Albert Alaar would be staying and undergoing sensitivity training.

Albert Alaar was present for such training as a producer and also on fhe cast’s training which made a lot of people uncomfortable.

Around 30 staff drafted a petition calling for his firing because they didn’t believe that they could continue working with him and that he wasn’t effectively punished

Ken Corday then issued another statement saying they let Alaar go.

while all this is going on.  Ari had to get a lawyer involved so she could return to her job.. and her pay was reduced twice due to her being written out of a months worth of episodes.

When Ari’s contract came up for renewal she was given a take it or leave it offer. She tried to negotiate but Ken Corday wouldn’t.
He says she was offered a raise but didn’t specify how much in his statement.
He says she wasn’t retaliated against and she was again written out of the show.
She didn’t submit an Emmy reel, which is sad because her work was worthy of a win this year.

Her visit to HR resulted in Alaar’s departure and hers. Which is why people are afraid to visit HR because there can be repercussions.

Did she do the right thing? Definitely! Will she be rewarded… I’d like to think so. Doing the right thing is NEVER wrong.
