For decades, the Jamaica Multiplex Cinemas was a beloved part of our community—offering entertainment, connection, and joy to families, students, and neighbors across Queens. Since its closure in 2024, the building has remained empty, leaving a cultural and recreational gap in our neighborhood.

We are calling on major theater chains like Regal, AMC, or Cinemark—and local government officials—to invest in bringing a new movie theater to this prime location at 159-02 Jamaica Ave.

Now..respectfully we already have enough food stores and clothing shops in this location. There really is no need for another kind of store or market being built there since there’s ENOUGH rainbows, fast food restaurants and random fashion stores around that area..so with that being said..
