Bring a Co-op festival store to Boomtown Fair
Bring a Co-op festival store to Boomtown Fair
The Issue
Bring a Co-op Festival Store to Boomtown Fair
Boomtown Fair is one of the UK's most creative and immersive festivals, welcoming nearly 77,000 attendees, crew, artists, traders, and staff each year.
For many of us, Boomtown is more than just a festival-it's a community. We spend up to five days on site, often in hot weather, and while Boomtown's incredible independent traders are a huge part of the experience, there is currently no dedicated supermarket-style option for everyday essentials.
We are calling on Boomtown Fair and Co-op to explore bringing a Co-op Festival Store to the festival.
Co-op has successfully operated festival stores at major UK events, providing affordable access to:
- Fresh food and meal deals
- Water and soft drinks
- Toiletries and hygiene products
- Sun cream and health essentials
- Camping supplies
- Snacks and everyday items
This proposal is not about replacing Boomtown's independent traders. They are an essential part of what makes Boomtown special. Instead, a Co-op Festival Store would complement the existing offering by providing practical essentials that many attendees either forget to bring or run out of during the event.
With nearly 77,000 people attending Boomtown each year, even a small percentage of festivalgoers using a Co-op store would demonstrate significant demand and improve the overall attendee experience.
By signing this petition, you are showing your support for Boomtown Fair and Co-op to begin discussions about a potential partnership that benefits attendees, supports convenience, and enhances one of the UK's most beloved festivals.
If you would like to see a Co-op Festival Store at Boomtown Fair, please sign and share this petition.
Together, we can help make Boomtown even better.
