• Support to immediately open Hancock Bridge on both spans.
  To oppose reduction of Hancock Bridge from 13 meters to 7 meters.
• Even after lapse of 7 years the Hancock Bridge is nowhere near completion after spending approx Rs.65 Crores.

As per information:

1) The municipal commissioner is not allotting 10 to 15 Crores which is required to complete the bridge immediately.

2) The tree cutting permission is kept pending beyond reasonable time by office of Municipal Commission.

3) The municipal commissioner and additional municipal commissioner (City) and Projects have not conducted regular review meetings to complete the bridge in last 7 years.

4) The delay is costing the citizen everyday:

(A) Two hours of travel time because the distance has increased from 57 meters to 7KM

(B) Wastage of tax payers money

(C) Wastage of national human resources and fuel

(D) Local residents have to bear (approx) travelling expense of Rs.200 taxi fare to cross Hancock Bridge via alternate route.
