Good morning fellow Brightonian, Brit & planet dwelling friends,
I'm sure most of you are entirely aware of the importance of today, May 7th as UK Election day. We just wanted to pop our pennies worth in as ongoing thanks for the support we received during this petition.
As well as a huge weight of signatures, work by the Northern Lights' legal team and public support, Caroline Lucas, Green party candidate for Brighton Pavilion stood up with a fantastic open letter to the council and completely got behind saving our venue against a somewhat fluffy police licencing team. From every shred of evidence we have, it truly looks like she's backing Brighton's local independent businesses and local livelihoods, her party stands for many of the principles that support local development and her support was game-changing in our struggle to save our venue (our home!).
Most importantly today, go and vote for what you believe in, when you pop that cross in that box, who stood up against complaints at the Blind Tiger and Northern Lights and who was part of this petition with you.
We say (not on behalf of the NL, but in relation to it's recent past), vote Green wherever you are for a positive future, vote Caroline in Brighton to keep our city alive and shining.
Much love and happy election day!
L.
