Thanks to every single soul who has kindly signed so far, we are still a little bit overwhelmed by the fantastic support. What is happening at the moment is that following a formal consultation process Brighton and Hove City Council are considering all the feedback on their plan for The City Downland Estate before making final changes to it. Meanwhile, anecdotally it feels like it has been a good spring and summer for our local flock, with many juveniles in evidence. Letting verges grow a bit wilder and the existing ban on pesticides in the urban city area will certainly have helped. We are also about to distribute our second 100 starling nest boxes all made from local larch, thanks to lovely people who bought Save Our Starlings T shirts from Teemill. If we build it they will come! Even now new signatures and further shares will help keep the pressure up so we can see an end to the old school toxic farming methods which have been so harmful to starlings. Huge thanks to all, Steve and Lou
