Matt is a caring compassionate student that many of you know and love. He jokingly completed a survey with things that the school considers wrong and potentially harmful. However the school claimed that the survey would remain anonymous so by being able to connect the survey to his identity they broke his first amendment right to freedom of speech, in order to receive accurate information almost all surveys are taken anonymously. For the school to claim that they do so only to repent these statements and remove him from campus indefinitely they have broken the trust that the school will keep my views anonymous. I will be taking this petition to the Dean of Bridgewater College hopefully with the names of many Bridgewater students and facility so that I can show to them that everyone that knows him knows that he is sincerely a good guy. My goal is to have matt reinstated into our college and have the school realize they made a serious mistake but I am also using it to broadcast to the campus that Survey Monkey surveys are monitored by the school and they are able to link them to your student account so be sure to be careful when completing them the remainder of the semester.
