Brianna's Law was introduced in the NYS Senate and Assembly: S07677 (Boyle) / A09806 (Jean-Pierre) - an act to amend navigation law, in relation to enacting Brianna's Law which will require that operators of mechanically propelled vessels take an in-person boating safety course. I want to thank the bill sponsors, NYS Senator Phil Boyle and NYS Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre. It has been a long journey that is not over, but we now have a bill so I need all the support possible to urge the Senate and Assembly to move this bill through the committee process and to the floor for votes. Then onto Governor Cuomo to sign into law. This legislation will save lives and no other family should have to go through what we went through. Thank you for your support.
