Bring Mr. Adan Sanchez back to Sierra Madre Elementary!

Bring Mr. Adan Sanchez back to Sierra Madre Elementary!

The Issue

The Sierra Madre Elementary community is horrified by the abrupt involuntary transfer of our Head Custodian, Adan Sanchez.

Adan Sanchez has been a big part of trying to secure safety for our children. We know he is on top of every issue and doing his best to make sure our campus is as safe as he can make it.

We believe he's being punished for having high standards and striving to improve our school.  Adan is a key player in our SME SAFETY TEAM and to involuntarily transfer him is a serious safety issue for our students and staff. Teachers were told late on Friday about M involuntary transfer only two days before he had to leave, (not enough time for the school to protest the decision). We were told, "administrative transfers were based on the needs of the district". We need Mr. Adan to remain at SME!

Adan Sanchez knows, intimately, ALL OF THE SAFETY PROCEDURES /PRECAUTIONS at SME.  THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR OUR STAFF AND STUDENTS, ESPECIALLY NOW.  As if that weren't enough, Adan goes above and beyond his job and with every interaction teaches our children kindness and to take pride in their school. WE CANNOT LOSE ADAN. HE IS A VALUED MEMBER OF OUR SME FAMILY. WE MUST DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO KEEP HIM.
