For many years, children who have received DACA have worked and studied to have a better life in the U.S. Legislators in 16 states have passed laws to allow DACA students to pay in-state tuition, yet there are still 34 states that make DACA students pay out-of-state tuition. Most DACA students meet the requirements to pay in-state tuition, but are denied it due to their paper status. My sister is a DACA student who has been going to Georgia States - Perimeter college and now that she wants to transfer to her bachelors degree. Due to the huge difference in the Georgia state campus out-of-state tuition she can’t continue her education. DACA students are some of the most hard-working people in the US. With a law passed in Georgia to allow DACA students to pay in-State tuition, it could greatly benefit and allow them an opportunity to continue or start their education. Thank You!
