The objective of this campaign is to garner the degree of community support to raise necessary funds to build a community skatepark for children and young people in Brentford.  Currently, there are limited facilities in Brentford for children and young people to occupy and engage themselves in a positive way, and with the redevelopment of Brentford, the need for a skatepark facility will likely increase along with the increased population in Brentford.  

Skateboarding offers a fun and dynamic opportunity to engage in sport, and is relatively inexpensive.  Skateboarding offers a range of health benefits, and a skateboarding park may offer further opportunity to engage the children and young people of Brentford and Hounslow who choose to use it, and ensure they continue to meaningfully engage with the wider community.
