This proposed development of Peaks Hill Farm is totally unacceptable. The complete destruction of continually farmed land which can never be regained is criminal especially when we need more local produce and development of sustainable farming. The destruction of the wood plantation which is home to deer, goshawks, buzzards, pheasants just to name a few of the amount of wildlife that will be destroyed and lost forever. The massive impact on Blyth Road and also the A60 is crazy as their is no proposed infrastructure to improve these roads - a link road joining Blyth Road to the A60 will become a rat run and a dangerous road for boy racers. The junction of Blyth Road and Thievesdale lane is currently a danger due to amount of increased traffic from a 75 house development so to add another 1100 homes is not acceptable. Their is no CIL been asked for on this development which means no additional medical services, education, public services. This development cannot go ahead - the area has numerous brown field sites that can be utilised first and a massive amount of property in and around the town centre which needs redeveloping first and bring income into the struggling town centre. Peaks Hill Farm needs to stay a green belt which this area always was. The amount of flooding in the area will increase with no correct drainage as again this is not been asked for and the current drainage cant cope with what we have now. The sewers are constantly been repaired as they cant cope with the developments that have been built in recent years and to add another 1100 into this is a disaster waiting to happen. The addition of another potential 4500 people plus 2000 additional cars at least is completely unviable, there is not the infrastructure of doctors, dentists, hospital, education to cope with this development and the roads, drainage, local communities cannot cope with huge development.
