THIS WEEK IN Save Hyde Park Square NEWS! Please forward this email or this flyer to anyone who lives in the City of Cincinnati. And/or post the flyer on social media! Many citizens do not know about the proposed development. Even our neighbors in Hyde Park. Everyone should have the opportunity to participate in this process. The vote is on April 22nd, just one week from tomorrow!
THERE ARE TWO MEETINGS ON Wednesday, April 16th - THIS WEEK!
1. City Council Meeting: City Hall, Council Chambers, Room 300
Public Comments begin at 1:30 PM - Meeting starts at 2 PM
THIS IS THE LAST City Council meeting before the vote on the Planned Development. We’d love to have a CROWD at this meeting.
Don’t be afraid to approach City Council Members before or after that meeting and respectfully tell them why they should vote “No” on the Hyde Park Square zoning change to Planned Development!
IMPORTANT: Please be respectful at these meetings! No booing or clapping! We’ve been warned that being vocal WILL work against us! Spread the word!
2. Joint City Council and Cincinnati School Board
“Healthy Neighborhoods” Meeting
Location: Mary A Ronan Education Center, 2651 Burnet Avenue
Meeting Starts at 6 PM
This meeting will discuss the Cincinnati Public School Board’s concern about the impact that the Hyde Park Square development will have on Hyde Park School and pedestrian safety.
We especially need Hyde Park School parents at this meeting – please share this with Hyde Park School parents!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: FLYER DISTRIBUTION
We have made a HUGE dent in distributing informational flyers (click here to view) throughout Hyde Park. A LOT OF OUR NEIGHBORS ARE JUST FINDING OUT ABOUT THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT! We must continue to share the information and give residents an opportunity to participate before the Equitable Growth & Housing Committee vote on April 22nd. That is in 8 days!
We are not soliciting or knocking on doors. We are simply leaving flyers at homes/apartments/condos with information about the proposed development and providing City Council contact information.
Flyers may be picked up at Poeme (3433 Michigan Avenue) in Hyde Park Square. You may select a street but if you do not have a preference, we will assign a street or two for you.
Pick Up Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 12 PM to 5 PM
*If these hours do not work with your schedule, please call to make other accommodations. 513-321-4999.
