Break the silence. We need a USA national stalking hotline.
The Issue
When I first started speaking online, most people probably just saw somebody quiet. What they did not see was how low I was after surviving domestic violence, and how exhausted I was from still trying to survive an extreme stalking situation that dragged me through years of court battles. I was carrying boxes of evidence into court just to try to be taken seriously. That was my reality, and nobody should have to live like that.
This is bigger than my story. So many survivors are already trying to rebuild their confidence, protect their mental health, and stay alive while also being asked to document everything, prove everything, repeat everything, and wait while the system moves slowly.
I am calling on Congress and lawmakers to create a national stalking hotline.
One that is available to the American people 24/7 that will assist individuals with safety plans , emotional support, connect individuals with local resources and connecting the patterns in a log to further assist local authorities on keeping track and update on the progress of each case .
Victims shouldn't have to repeat themselves so many times while experiences the side effects of being stalked .
Victims need connections , specifically A connection that will help them with logging in all the stalkers patterns so the victims don't have to .
Why ? Because a stalking hotline would not only create a safe place for victims to talk about their experiences but also personalized safety planning, and connections to local legal or social service providers. We need a national stalking hotline in this nation. stalking affects 13.5 million people JUST in the USA alone! Statistics say that's roughly 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men .
I am grateful for the people who helped me feel less alone, but community support cannot replace a system that actually protects people. Survivors deserve safety, dignity, and a real path forward. If you believe stalking and abuse cases should be handled with the seriousness they demand, please sign and share this petition.
