Rio Doce (sweet river) is a river located in Brazil. Because greed and a corrupted government that did not supervise or implement safety measures, a mine dam burst in city of Mariana-MG last week. The toxic mud water buried a complete district killing hundreds of people. Some are still missing and no rescue groups for the bodies. Besides human lives, animals and plants are buried by that mud. The contaminated water killed the fish population of Rio Doce where the mud already came. The toxic mud is moving now in way to Atlantic Ocean. More than 200 thousand people were without drinkable water, or any water for days. Temperatures are very high in the region. Brazilian press are very compromised. Money talks. We need to save the river and we need to stop that toxic mud to move to the ocean.We want the companies and government to be held responsible. They have to create a fund for the river and help with the rescue of animals. Some animals shelters need support, and the companies should step in. Medical and research to monitoring of the river should be provided. Vale should provided money to recovering of the river. Education and support for the families that depend on fishing and right now are being in difficulties because that fish are dead, contaminated. International laws and a international organization should supervise that mines. So, for all that care, please help us. Help Brazil, help the river.
