The Amazon is Earths “lungs”. They make up 20% of the oxygen that is produced in the atmosphere. We as humans and many other animals need this oxygen and depend on these high levels to remain constant. If tampered with, the lack of oxygen could spike climactic temperatures across the globe, fueling the climate crisis.

Amazonia is the most abundant rain forest on earth, that contains 20 million to 40 million species. Some of which have not yet been identified by the scientific community. This rainforest is at severe risk of destruction and rapid decline of biodiversity because of deforestation. Farming and agricultural businesses have started illegal and shockingly legal “wild fires” to form agricultural land used to raise live stock. The purpose of this is to supply the high demand for meat around the world.

These acts of extinction can not be allowed. Our planet is in need of change and we all have to come together and make a stand. Join me in fighting for our planet.
