We must evaluate who benefits from Bras n Things' marketing of the Playboy brand. Playboy is a thriving porn brand which has infiltrated mainstream culture with a selection of pink, sparkly merchandise and ‘retro’ fashions. Rather than perpetuate Playboy’s lies about women and their purpose in life, Bras and Things have a corporate responsibility to promote the truth that women and girls have the right to be treated with respect and dignity, and live free from discrimination. What Playboy offers women and girls are damaging, stereotyped sex roles that promote women’s inequality.
