It came to light recently that Ambitions Restaurant at the Great Yarmouth campus of East Coast College would close at the end of this term and would result in a merge with their Lowestoft campus. It would seem upon hearing the news many local businesses were unaware of the reduction of the catering department within Great Yarmouth. It also appeared that students enrolled on next years course also hadn’t been informed of the major change up. 

Ambitions has been running for over 30 years and is an important part of the training carried out at Great Yarmouth. The staff are dedicated to providing the best experience possible and making sure students understand what it’s like to work ‘out in the real world’. With the merge however, it is feared that number of students in the Great Yarmouth area will drop. With the facilities on their doorstep being closed students will have to add traveling times to their already long days with students in rural areas suffering the most. 

Please help in showing your support for our local training facilities and showing East Coast College that the students around the Great Yarmouth area deserve to have the opportunity to experience full training as close to home as possible.
