Boycotts Unleashed: Force Corporate Accountability for Palestine [Act Now & Sign]
The Issue
United by our deep concern for the ongoing violence in Gaza/Palestine, we, a coalition of global citizens, fair-minded Jews, activists, and individuals from diverse backgrounds, are committed to making a difference. Figures like Miko Peled and Gideon Levy, who embody true humanity through their advocacy, align with the principles of justice and peace we uphold. Their integrity and courage in speaking out are diminished by the silence of key U.S. politicians, whose questionable stances are heavily shaped by AIPAC's influential lobbying efforts.
This silence contrasts starkly with the global call for peace, urging us to shift our strategy from changing minds to mobilizing collective action. Despite massive rallies, nationwide pleas, sit-ins, and even international legal proceedings, AIPAC's unchecked influence remains formidable.
Our strategy is a targeted boycott against Zionist-supporting US corporations, namely Starbucks, Disney & McDonald’s, while also putting Meta on notice for their continued censorship of Palestinian supporters and demonstrated bias towards Zionists. These companies, through their economic influence, can become catalysts for change. We aim to ‘compel’ them to support and fund the creation of a counter-lobby to AIPAC, leveraging their financial power for justice. Inspired by Starbucks’ successful boycott and the potential of pro-Palestine PACs, this campaign is aimed at dismantling AIPAC's financial stronghold on U.S. politics, and promises to transform our aspirations (justice for Palestinians) into tangible outcomes within months, not years.
The potential for creating pro-Palestine advocacy groups is encouraging. However, this gradual approach may not be rapid enough to address the urgent needs of Palestinians facing ongoing aggression and the threat of displacement. A more immediate strategy involves mobilizing Corporate America's influence.
Here's Our Plan:
- Commence Targeted Boycotts: Leading to, and beginning June 21st, we will engage in organized boycotts against the named corporations. This action will persist until these companies not only recognize their role in perpetuating injustice but also commit to using their influence and resources for the creation of policies that support peace and justice in Palestine.
- Demand Corporate Engagement: We seek not to destroy but to awaken and compel. We demand that these corporations significantly support efforts to counteract the biased influences on U.S. foreign policy, specifically the dominance of AIPAC, by pledging a $50M philanthropic donation from each targeted corporation.
- Change the Narrative and Galvanize Public Support: This is more than a call to action; it's a mission to reshape the conversation surrounding Palestine. We must ensure that the just and correct narrative for this predicament is communicated far and wide. Given the novel approach of holding profits hostage—with the ransom being the creation of a CounterAIPAC lobby—our strategy represents a new method to navigate the decades-long bottleneck faced by Palestinians. We urge everyone who believes in justice, peace, and the power of informed collective action to join us. Spread the word, correct the narrative, and stand firm in our demand for a significant shift towards corporate accountability and transformative change.
Anticipating false allegations of anti-Semitism, we preemptively clarify that our campaign is secular and completely independent of Israel's religious identity. We don't advocate violence or displacement of Israeli Jews but seek a peaceful, equitable two-state solution or a society where ALL live without discrimination and supremacy. We are driven by the basic human values of equality, justice, and peace - fundamental pillars of any civil society.
An open letter has been formally shared with the CEO's of the above-mentioned corporations. For more information go to www.CounterAIPACMovement.org
