We are pleased with the announcements made today by the city and Hy-Vee. While these actions are multiple steps in the right direction, there is more work to do and a long way to go.

- Instead of offering free transportation, Hy-Vee should reconsider their decision to close so abruptly and remain open until Sept 1st. 

- Confirm that they will work with their landlord to ensure the building is not leased to a non-grocery.

-provide resources to pay neighborhood canvassers to share resources available, to determine the scope of the need, and get input on future plans.
