The Issue

Fun fact: Did you know there are about 15.7 million veterans in America and over 461,240 in Canada? These are real heroes who have served their countries bravely. Yet, every year, the Invictus Games turn a blind eye to the real stories and struggles of these countless veterans to focus on a select few. How does this serve our veterans as a whole?

The Invictus Games have become nothing more than a platform where 500 veterans are used like pawns in a PR spectacle orchestrated by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Furthermore, the event charges an exorbitant $60 million for what essentially appears to be activities and competitions that could be organized in a local high school gym. The question arises: Where is this money going, and is it truly benefiting our veterans?

The Games have also introduced "Stolen Valor" in the concept of Harry's Afghan pew pew count and awards given by his family line but not by the military. A concept that cheapens the true value and dignity of military service. It sums up the entire debate: are these Games genuinely honouring the bravery and sacrifices of our armed forces, or are they merely pushing an infamous agenda? Are any Veterans of any countries helped or is this a game to use heroes by horrible people to make themselves look less deviant?

It's time we, as the public, wake up to this charade and demand accountability. For a community that has given so much to our countries, the least we can do is ensure they are supported and recognized in genuine, meaningful ways.

Join us in demanding transparency and justice for our veterans. Boycott the Invictus Games until these issues are addressed. Your signature can drive change and help ensure our veterans receive the honour and respect they truly deserve. Sign this petition to make a difference today!
