We the People of the United States of America in order to form a more perfect union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common Defense, promote the General Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to all people regardless of race, religion, gender, income, who they love, or where they were born, do, on this date, February 17, 2025, declare our opposition to Oligarchic rule and our refusal to give our money to any business that promotes the destruction of the Constitution or the mistreatment of any human on American soil.

We declare President’s Day Monday, February 17th,  2025, as a National Day of Mourning for the desecration of the Constitution and the destruction of our democracy. In remembrance of our ancestors who fought and died to bring us the constitution and the freedoms that came with it, we will wear black.

We declare it a DAY OF SERVICE in our communities to bring people together to celebrate the diversity, dedication, and kindness of the American people. 

We declare the evening a CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS in our communities.  We come together to enjoy community and art in our Pubs, Music Halls, Theaters, Churches, and Homes. Artists are struggling in these wild times, and they need our support AND we need the joy that coming together and getting away from our screens creates.  

This is a self-organized activation.  You are reading this, so you can organize a group in your town, city, or neighborhood.  Big or small, it will be perfect.

Tesla/Starlink - Don’t buy a Tesla and if you have one put an anti-musk bumper sticker on it. There are alternatives to starlink research which one suits your needs. 

Amazon - Cancel Prime Day!, buy local, farmers markets, Costco, Etsy.

Wholefoods - Shop Albertons, Safeway, United, Pavillions, Costco - don’t need bulk? Set up Costco co-ops with friends.  

META - Join Bluesky, delete meta accounts or cut your used by 75%

Apple - cancel Apple News, Apple Movies, Apple Music, and don’t buy Apple brand accessories like earbuds.   

McDonalds - eat local or Burger King

Target - shop local, shop used - fast fashion is a huge global environmental problem, Costco

DoorDash - Use Grubhub

Uber - Use Lift

Walmart - shop local, Costco pharmacy, Safeway pharmacy
