IN ADDITION TO SWITCHING THE MOBILE DATA AND VOICE PACKAGE, I ALSO SIGNED UP FOR THE WIFI BOX WITH MOBILE DATA IN CASE IT WAS NEEDED. MANNY ALSO PROMISED A REFUND INTO THE PRIOR FIDO ACCOUNT IN THE CAD200 TO CAD400 RANGE - THAT REFUND NEVER ARRIVED, I DO NOT REMEMBER THE DETAILS ABOUT WHAT THE REFUND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR.

I TRIED TO CANCEL ONLINE USING THE ROGERS ACCOUNT MANY TIMES - THE OPTION TO CHANGE THE PLAN DID NOT WORK AND THERE IS NO OPTION TO CANCEL THE WIFI BOX TOGETHER WITH THE ASSOCIATED SUBSCRIPTION. AT THE FIDO STORE, MANNY HAPPILY ACCEPTED THE BRAND NEW, UNOPENED WIFI BOX BUT NEVER CANCELED THE SERVICE AND DIRECTED ME TO CALL THE PROVIDED PHONE NUMBER. LATER, I CALLED THAT PHONE NUMBER - AND IT TURNED OUT THAT THE PROVIDED PHONE NUMBER DOES NOT HAVE THE NEEDED OPTION.
2025 SEPTEMBER - A TEXT MESSAGE ARRIVES FROM "ABHI FROM ROGERS" OFFERING BETTER DEALS. SO, I VISIT THE ROGERS STORE AT CF FAIRVIEW MALL - AND FIND OUT THAT THIS PERSON WORKS AT THE FIDO STORE AND NOT AT THE ROGERS STORE. SO - I HIKE TO THE FIDO STORE, FIND THAT ABHI AND HE TELLS ME THAT THEY SELL BOTH ROGERS AND FIDO SERVICES. OF COURSE, IF HE WAS SMART ENOUGH AND/OR WELL-TRAINED ENOUGH, HE WOULD TEXT MESSAGE CUSTOMERS THAT HE IS FROM A FIDO STORE OFFERING FIDO AND ROGERS PRODUCTS AND SERVICES. HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT MANNY NO LONGER WORKED AT THAT LOCATION. IN RESPONSE TO MY REQUEST TO SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER, HE TOLD ME THAT THE MANAGER WAS NOT AVAILABLE BECAUSE SHE WAS BUSY. A WOMAN OLDER THAN HIM CAME OUT OF THE STORAGE ROOM - SHE WAS SERIOUSLY BUSY WITH SOMETHING, IT BECAME OBVIOUS THAT SHE WAS MOST LIKELY THE MANAGER, AND SHE IS OBVIOUSLY MENTALLY RETARDED AND MEDICALLY INSANE. I DECIDED NOT TO INTERRUPT HER BECAUSE SHE REALLY WAS BUSY. The store shouldn’t have accepted the modem back in this case.
Since we are unable to cancel services through our Social Media platform, what I can do is I can send a request to our Office of the President to contact you so we can ensure that the account gets cancelled and have the charges reviewed. Usually it takes up to 72 business hours for the Office of the President to review the account and get in contact with you. Just to confirm, is the best contact number the one you put in the form earlier? Also when’s the best time to call you, in the morning, afternoon or evening? "
