Remember when Roblox was a genuinely fun place for all ages? Remember when there was way less predators? Forget that. Roblox recently added an "Age check" which made communication forbidden without it. it estimated your age via face scan using AI which is completely bewildering, there is already several reports of the age check failing, and it just makes an easier way for bad actors to get into the platform. Not to mention someone has actually gone missing due to this reason, Thomas Medlin. Another thing that the age check has ruined are friendships, due to communication restrictions, multi-year long friendships are forced to move to other platforms or end entirely due to people who know the age check is bad not being able to talk. The age check has also been sending your data to a company called "Persona", which sends YOUR data to the government, possibly endangering you and other families, COMPLETELY WITHOUT CONSENT OR KNOWLEDGE. Overall, this update is just glorified surveillance, it was truly never for the kids and the only way we can stop this is:

 

 

 

Deactivate or delete your Roblox account, as Roblox mainly cares about money, and less users = less money.

 

 

 

Cancel your Roblox premium subscription, which will earn them less money.

 

 

 

 

 

Send VERY stern emails to Roblox support. 

not the best idea, but its the least you can do.

 

 

Keep in mind that the age check is only ONE of ROBLOX's big problems. There still exists more problems like:

1. Lackluster moderation.
2. People who ban predators getting sued and banned.
3.  Sexual "condo" games.
