When I see those close to me, I am reminded of countless others in our society who have been unjustly lost to violence, particularly at the hands of authorities. The grief from losing a loved one is relentless, exacerbated when their lives are cut short due to violence.

So, imagine my alarm and dismay upon discovering that Netflix is broadcasting content through Kevin Hart that makes light of these severe issues. Making a joke out of the loss of life is not just distasteful—it's an affront to those who are genuinely grieving. It's equivalent to insulting the sacred struggle for justice that each grieving family endures.

We are in an era where we must push forward with sensitivity, awareness, and a moral compass aligned with justice for all. Netflix, an influential platform with global reach, has the power to reflect this collective aim of justice and equality.
