Alisa Nave, the owner of the Nave Veterinary Group, which operates 17 animal clinics and hospitals across southern Nevada, leads a double life. By day, she appears to be a caring veterinary clinic owner, but by night, she is a lobbyist for puppy stores. Her focus seems to be on profit rather than the welfare of animals. This dual role has had significant consequences, especially for legislative efforts aimed at protecting animals in Nevada.

Specifically, her interference was pivotal in the demise of AB487, a bill designed to ban puppy stores in Nevada. AB487 was progressing well and was on the verge of receiving bipartisan support. Yet, due to her influence as a lobbyist, Alisa Nave intervened, made calls to her elected official contacts, and ultimately, the bill was quashed.

The action taken by Nave not only halted a bill that could have had a positive impact on animal welfare but also raises serious concerns about conflicts of interest in positions of influence. It is troubling that someone in charge of veterinary care is simultaneously working to thwart legislation aimed at preventing the sale of puppies, an industry notorious for questionable practices.

The community in Las Vegas and throughout Nevada has a right to express their discontent with this behavior. Boycotting the Nave Veterinary Group sends a strong message against prioritizing profits over ethical practices and animal welfare. Together, we can show that the citizens of Southern Nevada will not tolerate such contradictions and harmful lobbying activities.

She has put every animal in our state in grave danger and doesn't seem to care. She just keeps dishing out the money to buy supporters and living a double life. The only way we will send a message is to hurt her financially by not visting any of her clinics.
