I find it deeply personal to me, the hiring of the individual, Curt Gooch, and his company Applause Licensing for the 2025 Led Zeppelin documentary "Becoming Led Zeppelin". Curt Gooch has built a reputation for harassment and threats towards numerous individuals over the years with a sustained campaign of intimidation, including attempts to cost people their jobs and filing false copyright claims on video footage he has no legal rights to that were posted on YouTube. There is allot of evidence for these harassment claims from him and his friends.

One such false claim on a person, was profoundly disturbing -- a fake school shooting where even the FBI was shocked by this claim from Curt Gooch. This is not a claim made lightly nor without evidence. The false copyright claims on YouTube have been a pattern of behavior serious enough that it warranted legal action: Curt Gooch was brought to court by the widely recognized band, KISS.

The culture of fear and manipulation cultivated by Gooch has no place in the entertainment industry or anywhere else. We should not stand by as he profits from a documentary about a band that brought joy and unity to so many across generations. 

We, fans of Led Zeppelin and Rock music, and general advocates for a respectful, non-threatening community, call for a boycott on the Led Zeppelin documentary "Becoming Led Zeppelin" until Curt Gooch and his company are removed from its production or is no longer employed by future companies. Please sign this petition in solidarity against harassment and intimidation in the entertainment industry.
