Losing Luka like that is a slap in the face and a giant middle finger to the entire fanbase. Luka is a generational talent that we were lucky to have on our team. More importantly, he WANTED to be here. Generational fumble by this front office, then to insult Luka on the way out is petty and stupid. 

Then Nico had to go out and all but admit he did this as a hush deal with his good buddy Rob Pelinka. I don’t think anything you get in return for Luka would be worth it, but there is a world where the Mavs get another perennial all star and a slew of 1st round picks. Instead, we get another player who is often injured and a 2029 1st. And we GAVE UP A SECOND ROUNDER AND TWO MORE PLAYERS. If he had shopped Luka for 10 minutes, we would have gotten 3 times the return. Instead, he did his Laker buddy a favor and just gave Luka away. 

It’s clear that the Mavs only care about money over winning, and they sure as hell don’t care about the fans. So let’s do the only thing we can and not give them another cent of our money this season. No games, no merch, nothing. 

 It won’t change a thing, but screw them.
