Stop Australian Businesses Spreading Misleading Political Memes

Australian businesses should not use their corporate social media platforms to spread misleading political information.

 

We are calling on Australians to boycott businesses that post or promote the false and misleading “47%” meme and similar deceptive political content designed to inflame division rather than inform the public.

 

Businesses have every right to hold political opinions. But when companies use their public platforms to spread inaccurate or manipulated claims, they damage trust with customers and contribute to misinformation in Australian public debate.

 

Consumers should not be expected to financially support businesses that knowingly publish false or misleading political material.

 

We call on Australian businesses to:
