Tim Cook's decision to gift Donald Trump a personalized Apple Glass and make ostensibly unachievable pledges to boost the American workforce is simply clouding the truth. This guise is dangerous and deceptive. As supporters of equality and fairness, we find it ethically challenging to support a brand that seemingly endorses these values.

What values you might ask? Well, personally, Trump's Big Beautiful Bill poses a significant threat to my family and community. It's stripping my parents of their healthcare and will make my daughter's insurance much more expensive. This bill isn't just a financial burden, it's also a direct attack on my parents' Social Security and seeks to white-wash my daughter's education. 

His attack on Paramount has also impacted my career as I've worked for the company for the past 16 years, and now my job hangs in the balance of his retribution. 

Moreover, the administration's policies have placed a target on several of my friends, both documented and undocumented, who contribute immensely to our community. The brutal ICE attacks are nothing short of domestic terrorism. With the prospect of 45 million Americans potentially losing Medicaid, it is crucial to take a stand.

I urge everyone whose values stand in opposition to Trump's policies, and who feel the psychological and emotional impact on marginalized communities, to boycott Apple products.

Together, if we trade in, sell, or donate our iPhones in favor of more ethical options like FairPhone or Samsung, we might be able to push Tim Cook to end his love affair with the president. 

The time for action is now. Let's choose devices that align with our principles and in doing so, send a firm message to corporations about the kind of values we endorse. Stand with me in this act of defiance, and let's make choices that reflect our commitment to justice and equality.
