Some of my most rewarding work is done with Boy Scouts. Today I was taking some refresher training as a Merit Badge Counselor, and I was impressed by the things I saw there.
"A scout does not harm or kill any living thing without good reason."
"A scout protects and conserves natural resources."
"A scout does the right thing even when doing the wrong thing or doing nothing would be easier.
"If a scout thinks rules and laws are unfair, he seeks to have them changed in an orderly way."
I couldn't help but think how much this process of collecting your voices and support fits these ideals. We are speaking out against harm towards living things. We are promoting a policy that would proctect and conserve natural resources. We are doing what is right, even though doing nothing would be easier. We are seeking change in an orderly way.
Thank you for helping this movement grow. We are just shy of 400 supporters. There are 3 days left for us to gather the voices of those who believe there is a better way for wildlife and for scouts. Please continue to share, comment, and speak out. You are going to make a difference by doing what a scout does. Consider your support your daily "good turn."
