
You couldn’t find a finer example of a truth seeker than Sydney Ireland, currently a sophomore attending Amherst College. Ireland was in high school when she heard that her first big dream had come true. Boy Scouts of America (BSA) announced it would welcome girls as members in the future. That was 2017. And then she and a nation full of scouting girls waited and waited some more. After slow-walking young women into scouting, in February of 2019, the BSA finally began admitting girls.
