All BGSU students should be CPR/ First Aid certified
Why this petition matters

Today, the 911 call from the night of Stone Foltz’s hazing incident in Bowling Green, Ohio was released. In the call, the BGPD dispatcher found one of the friends of Stone that could perform CPR and walk him through it until the paramedics arrived on scene.
This is a call to action that all BGSU first year students should be CPR/First Aid certified within their first weekend (opening weekend) on campus. By working in this training and ability to respond in crisis situations, we can protect more of our student body. As Bowling Green students we must look out for one another and this certification provided by our university would be a start to necessary change and for the protection of our peers.
BGSU students currently take virtual courses with the topics of alcohol, drug use, and sexual assault. This hands on training could be added to those courses for a more thorough education before starting the students collegiate career. Please join me in promoting these certifications for first year and current students to ensure our preparedness for the BGSU student body.
