Upon construction a Roman villa bath house has been unearthed at the BOX ROAD BOVIS ESTATE, CAM, DURSLEY.

Whilst archaeologists are continuing to work on the ground where the discovery was made, the site itself has granted full planning permission and a layout that could potentially lead to the villa being filled back in and covered with a house or road.

Whilst we understand that it would cost thousands for Historic England to compensate Bovis for their loss if they were to intervene, locals do not want to see this incredible piece of history re-buried.
