Botswana’s Minister of the Environment, Natural Resources, Conservation and Tourism Onkokame Mokaila criticized former President Ian Khama and animal rights activist groups.  

He did not mention the African Elephant Coalition representing twenty-nine African countries who promote a non-consumptive use of elephants.
