The author of the Elephant Poaching Report in 2018, Dr Mike Chase,  answers questions and assumptions made and published by his learned colleagues. 

We should welcome the study carried out by Elephants Without Borders, it gives us all the opportunity to examine the very real problems African elephants are facing. 

This is not the time to point fingers, shoot the messenger or in fact hide the truth.
