Following the events surrounding the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless others, the students of Boston University and many BU student organizations have united to donate to various BLM organizations and causes. BU prides itself on alumni like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., and Ayanna Pressley but has taken limited action. As the BU community continues to donate to reach its $100,000 goal, we ask that Boston University matches our contributions supporting BLM organizations and show solidarity with its Black community.
