The Friends of the Prouty Garden today published an advertisement in the Boston Globe, urging the public to call the hospital and demand they stop the destruction currently happening in the Prouty Garden and reopen it immediately. It reads, in part: In destroying Prouty Garden, Boston Children's Hospital not only dishonors its commitment to maintain it forever, but also erases the human face of its mission to heal. It flouts the laws, and costs the taxpayers millions.
