Bees and other creatures, butterflies and beetles, pollinate nearly 90% of food for people on earth. A third of the worlds food depends on bees. As pollinators, bees play a vital part in every aspect of the ecosystem. They support the growth of trees, flowers, and other plants. these small creatures give us the honey, the sweet product we all know and love. Furthermore, honeybees provide us with the main ingredients we use for most of the things we have, for example, wax, hand care products, medicines etc..

The problem is that many important bee species are becoming endangered around the globe, due to pesticides, mites, and habitat loss. It is said that the pesticides used on crops on farms and in gardens are not only killing the pests, but also killing the bees. As well as this, as cities grow and agriculture becomes more intensive, bees are losing the wild spaces, hedgerows and meadows where they can find flowers and food.

But what can we do to help?

To save our bees, we need to try and make a change:

- instead of using harmful pesticides on your crops, try using the alternative of “Soft” chemicals: soap, stinging nettles, and rhubarbs.

- make room in places in your fields, gardens or any green places you know of to give bees a chance to make their home for a while. Bees will only sting if they are threatened, so don't worry about that.

LETS SAVE THE BEES AND KEEP OUR ENVIRONMENT THRIVING!
