In light of the sadness this years bonfire night has caused to our poor animals and their families, I would like to raise awareness on the damage the noise of fireworks are doing to them.

Each year, so many animals go missing on bonfire night and so many loose their lives on bonfire night too. Whether this is due to accidents, heart attacks or other things triggered by the bangs, it’s extremely traumatising and also affects some humans too. Many people speak out about this each year but then it gets dropped until the following year, there’s never action or change. 

This year, a friend lost her beloved pet as he were so petrified of the fireworks that were being let off days before bonfire night on her housing estate, he escaped the garden after toileting and never came back. He were later found lifeless. The family are absolutely torn apart. This is one of so many. This triggered us to create this petition to ban loud fireworks and to fight for silent fireworks to be brought out instead. We would also like to suggest that these are let off at displays only away from animals & only at certain times each year. (Eg. 7-8pm on the 5/11 each year). But the main thing here, the main trigger, is the loud bangs of them. 

Hopefully, with the use of silent fireworks, less animals will feel frightened, go missing, loose their lives and will have a peaceful bonfire night where members of the public can still enjoy the events too.
