The Hunting Act of 2004 is a flawed document allowing for fox hunters to easily exploit a certain clause in order to avoid prosecution for crimes.

Using the clause "unless his hunting is exempt" fox hunters are able to avoid prosecution thanks to loose terminology. Hunters are supposed to have switched from using live animal targets to artificial scents however this is almost never enforced.

Hunters are now using the artificial scent in known fox habitats in hopes that hounds now actually pick up on a genuine fox scent and target the live animal. 

Whilst I am not opposed to hunting for food as part of a lifestyle that people in rural areas adopt the idea of hunting foxes and other animals for sport and purely for the thrill of watching dogs tear a defenceless animal and key part of British ecosystems limb from limb is inhuman.

We want the hunting act strengthened in order to close loopholes and bring illegal hunters to justice.
