Sir Desmond Swayne MP has made false allegations of Covid death figures being “manipulated” and has insinuated that the NHS is under no more stress than normal. 

He has encouraged anti-vax group ‘Save Our Rights UK’ to “persist” in their campaign against COVID-19 restrictions in this country. 

He has engaged with interviews with notorious anti-vax proponents such as Del Bigtree. 

As the UK passes 100,000 deaths from Covid-19 and looks likely to surpass 125,000, those in public office should be held to account for their actions in rubbishing the restrictions which are put in place to save lives. 

His statements are demonstrably false and his actions are in direct contradiction of the Conservative Party’s Code of Conduct. 

He must have the whip removed immediately and be placed under investigation.
