In the light of the allegations from Sir Ian Rutnam accusing Ms Priti Patel of bullying in the workplace which has now resulted in three other accusations being disclosed when Ms Patel was working in different departments; is it not time to take the whole case of bullying in the workplace seriously?  In the instance of Ms Patel's case there should be an outside judicator doing the investigations, not the government, or people closely associated with the government.  Playground bullying is now taken seriously, with the offending child often suspended or expelled from school.  I don't need to remind you of the number of school children who take their own lives as a direct result of bullying in school.  What happens to these bullies when they grow up?  Do you for one moment think they turn into nice individuals?  They do not.  They turn into workplace bullies who damage other peoples lives and livelihoods as evident in Sir Ian Rutnam's case, not to mention the government worker who took an overdose as a direct result of the bullying experienced by Ms Patel.  I note that bullying and harassment in the workplace is unlawful under the Equality Act 2010.  It should be made illegal, and those convicted should be given a criminal record.  There should be a legal obligation that references must reflect that those who have been convicted of being a bully are identified.  If you and this government purport to be of the people you must take this seriously before more lives are damaged.
