First of all thank you for taking the time to take the time to read my petition.

I will tell you my story.... please bear with me this may take a while.

Almost two years ago I lost my beloved Mother to Alcohol... I never believed something like that could happen to MY mom. But it did. For years casual drinking had been masking a much deeper and darker secret, my mom was an alcoholic.

As time went on the mask that she had worn started to slip and I began to notice a gradual decline in health, but why??? my mom didn't drink, why would she??

The answer is because her body needed too, she couldn't stop, and didn't realise she had a problem and neither did I.

No one believed what I was saying, when I eventually figured it out, people get good at hiding.

Anyways - my petition is to get Labels changed on Alcohol to include the signs and symptoms of liver disease, to make more people aware of their symptoms before they get to the end stage where their is no going back. So many people are lost and I truly believe that they don't understand what is happening to their bodies as a result of drinking.

If they could physically read on the bottle every time they pick one up I think it has the potential to make a difference.

It will also let families know what is happening. Below are the symptoms of end stage liver disease caused by Alcohol so even if the Labels never change someone may read this and help someone else.

Some of the symptoms include:
decreased appetite
nose bleeds
jaundice (yellow discoloration)
small spider-shaped arteries underneath the skin
weight loss
anorexia
itchy skin
weakness, Muscle wasting, Bruising.

Hair loss

This has taken a lot of courage to put it out their but if I help one person or family then it was worth it.
