“There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.” Elie Wiesel

Just like in 2019 with the European elections, millions of EU citizens in the UK face losing their democratic rights to vote and stand in local elections in Britain unless we act now to stop that happening.

Although some EU member states have been able to sign bilateral agreements to protect voting rights, most have not.

We have always argued that the UK should guarantee these rights unilaterally.

UK and Poland sign new treaty on voting rights

Can you help New Europeans continue to fight for the democratic rights of EU27 citizens in the UK and Britons abroad?

A donation to our #DeniedMyVote campaign appeal will help us continue to fight for justice for the 1.7m EU citizens and Britons abroad who were denied their vote in the European elections.

Britain may have left the EU but it is still part of Europe - and in Europe we are community of values.

Values which include democracy, the rule of law and human rights.
