I am a self employed events organisation. I run dance events and much to my horror after the outbreak of COVID-19 I have discovered that I along with 90% of self employed people we are not covered for the cancellation of events due to no disease cover. Not one of the insurance companies have EVER mentioned this until now.

I know a lot of Theatre companies won’t be covered neither will Dance schools. At this awful time I would like to take it further to have this overturned so our businesses can claim on our insurance which we have paid into for many years for the likelihood of us having to claim to make refunds pay staff etc. 

I would appreciate you giving this your signature. I’m sitting at home with high levels of anxiety over what the future holds, as I’m sure many other self employed business owners are, so I thought I’d try and do something positive.
